ios 10 mail crashes often

since I updated my iPad 4th gen wifi, to ios 10.0.1, the iOS mail app crashes dropping back to the iOS home menu I. The following conditions:

while browsing through unread mail tapping each header one by one, about every fifth or sixth emails, the mail app will quit and drop back to the home menu. If I go back into mail, it returns to the same email when it quit.

I Hoped that 10.0.2 would fix the problem, but it did not.

I Believe this to be an IO bug.
